Sermon: 6/14/26- Tuesday's Devotional

Hard-Pressed but Not Crushed
Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:7-18

Paul's words acknowledge reality without surrendering to despair. Notice he doesn't pretend the pressure isn't real—he's hard-pressed, perplexed, persecuted, struck down. Yet there's always a "but not." This is the paradox of Christian hope: honest about pain while confident in God's presence. The treasure we carry in our fragile, clay-jar bodies is God Himself. That's what keeps us from being crushed. Today, name what's pressing hard against you. Then speak the "but not" over it. You may be hard-pressed, but you are not crushed. You may be perplexed, but you are not in despair. God's power is made perfect in your weakness.
