Sermon: 2/1/26- Thursday's Devotional
Learning to Fly with God's Eyes Upon You
Reading: Psalm 121; Isaiah 40:28-31
The young eagle's first flight was disastrous—crashing into trees, falling into rivers. Yet the mother eagle never looked away. Her eyes remained fixed on her struggling child. This is the picture of our heavenly Father. He doesn't promise we won't crash when we step out in faith. He doesn't guarantee smooth flights and perfect landings. But He absolutely promises His constant watchfulness. "He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber." When God calls you out of your nest, He doesn't abandon you to figure it out alone. His gaze never wavers. Those who hope in the Lord will "soar on wings like eagles." But soaring requires leaving the nest, risking the fall, trusting that His eyes are always upon you. What risk is God calling you to take today, knowing He's watching over you?
