Sermon: 12/28/25- Friday's Devotional

Shining Like Stars
Reading: Philippians 2:12-16; Matthew 5:14-16

Paul concludes with encouragement: do everything without grumbling or arguing so you'll shine like stars in a warped generation. When we embrace Christ's mindset—humility, service, obedience—we become radically different from the world around us. This isn't about perfection; it's about direction. The world grasps for power; we serve. The world demands rights; we lay them down. The world promotes self; we point to Christ. This counter-cultural living becomes a beacon. People notice when someone consistently puts others first, serves without recognition, and responds to conflict with humility. As you hold firmly to the word of life, the Holy Spirit will highlight areas needing transformation. Don't be discouraged by how far you have to go—celebrate each step toward Christ-likeness.

Reflection Question: What would it look like for you to "shine like a star" in your specific context this week?
