Sermon: 5/10/26- Wednesday's Devotional

Recognizing God in the Ordinary
Reading: Matthew 6:25-34

Jesus asks a piercing question: "Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" Worry accomplishes nothing except stealing our peace. Yet we worry about food, clothing, tomorrow—the very things Jesus says our Heavenly Father already knows we need.
The revolutionary truth Jesus presents is this: God cares about the ordinary. He feeds birds. He clothes wildflowers. How much more does He care for you? When you woke up this morning, ate breakfast, and drove to church, was that ordinary? Or was that God providing breath, sustenance, and safety? We've labeled as "ordinary" what is actually evidence of God's extraordinary faithfulness. There is no such thing as an ordinary day when you recognize God's presence and provision in every moment. Seek His kingdom first, and watch how He meets every need.

Reflection: List five "ordinary" things from today. Can you see God's provision in each one?
