Sermon: 11/1/26- Tuesday's Devotional

Free Will and Its Consequences
Reading: Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (God sets before His people life and death, blessing and cursing, and calls them to choose life); Joshua 24:15 (the call to choose whom you will serve)

God does not force Himself upon anyone. He made this clear when He told Samuel to give the people the king they demanded. Free will is not a flaw in God's design. It is a gift, and like all gifts, it carries responsibility. Every choice we make sets us on a path, and that path has real consequences, not always negative, but always real. God desires that we choose Him, choose obedience, choose relationship. But He will not override our will to make that happen. The weight of that truth should move us toward intentional, daily surrender rather than passive drifting.

Personal Reflection: Are there areas of your life where you have been drifting rather than deliberately choosing obedience?

Practical Application: Identify one decision you have been avoiding or delaying. Bring it before God in prayer today, asking Him to guide your choice toward obedience rather than convenience.
