Sermon: 11/1/26- Thursday's Devotional

Disobedience Changes the Path
Reading: Lamentations 3:22-23 (God's mercies are new every morning); 1 John 1:9 (if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us)

Saul's disobedience did not erase the existence of a path to God. It changed his path and made it far more difficult. This is a vital distinction for every believer to hold onto. Our failures do not place us on a dead-end road. They place us on a longer, harder, windier road, but God always makes a way back to Himself for those who repent and keep their eyes on Him. The danger is not in falling. The danger is in believing the lie that the fall was final. Guilt and shame are not your address. Repentance, forgiveness, and renewed obedience are the road markers that lead you home.

Personal Reflection: Is there a past failure you have been treating as a permanent dead end? How does today's truth challenge that belief?

Practical Application: If you are carrying guilt over a past sin that you have already confessed, write it down on a piece of paper, pray over it, and physically throw it away as a tangible act of receiving the forgiveness that is already yours in Christ.
