Sermon: 11/1/26- Friday's Devotional

He Is the Goal, and He Always Makes a Way
Reading: John 14:6 (Jesus declares Himself the way, the truth, and the life); Revelation 21:3 (God Himself will dwell with His people, and they will be His people)

The destination was never simply a place. It has always been a Person. God is not offering us a location as the prize at the end of obedience. He is offering Himself. This reframes everything. It reframes why we pursue holiness, why we repent when we fall, why we keep walking even when the road is long and difficult. We are not trying to earn a destination. We are moving toward a relationship, toward the very presence of the One who created us, redeemed us, and sustains us. And when the road seems impossible, when the detours have piled up, He is still making a way. He is the Way. Fix your eyes on Him, and you will find your way home.

Personal Reflection: Is your faith primarily motivated by a desire to reach heaven as a place, or by a desire to be in the presence of God as a Person? What difference does that distinction make in how you live today?

Practical Application: Rewrite your personal definition of the goal of the Christian life in one or two sentences. Let it center on God Himself rather than on any benefit or destination. Read it aloud each morning this week before you begin your day.
