Sermon: 10/4/26- Friday's Devotional

Entering His Presence Intentionally
Reading: Hebrews 13:5, James 4:8

God has made an unbreakable promise: He will never leave nor forsake His people. Yet so often we live as though He is absent, simply because we have not drawn near. James 4:8 tells us that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Like Naomi returning home after loss, or Samuel lying still in the darkness waiting for God to speak again, we must make the intentional choice to enter God's presence. Peace, clarity, and direction are not found by adding more activity to our lives. They are found in the quiet, faithful discipline of showing up before God and saying, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening."

Reflection Question: What would it look like for you to make drawing near to God a daily, intentional practice rather than an occasional response to crisis?

Practical Application: Commit to 30 minutes tomorrow morning or evening dedicated entirely to prayer and Scripture reading, with all devices silenced and set aside.
