Faithfulness That Points Beyond Itself
Reading: Ruth 3:1-13; Ephesians 2:10

Boaz acted as a kinsman-redeemer, a person obligated by covenant to restore what was lost to a vulnerable family member. His faithfulness to Ruth and Naomi was a reflection of something much larger. Every act of genuine faithfulness, loyalty, and kindness points beyond itself to the character of God. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's handiwork, created for good works that He prepared in advance. You may never fully see the ripple effects of your obedience. Boaz had no idea his faithfulness would place him in the lineage of the Savior of the world. Neither do you know the weight of yours.
