Sermon: 8/23/26- Friday's Devotional

Getting Back on the Bike
Reading: Lamentations 3:22-26; Psalm 103:8-14

Falling is expected. Everyone who has ever learned to ride a bike has fallen. The question is never whether you will fall -- it is whether you will let someone help you back up. God is not standing at a distance shaking His head at your failures. He is present, faithful, and ready to restore. The book of Judges shows us a God who keeps putting His people back on the bike, again and again, not because they earned it but because His love is great enough to absorb every fall. His compassions never fail. His faithfulness is not conditional on your consistency. Wait for Him. Seek Him. He is good to those whose hope is in Him.

Reflection: What would it look like for you to stop lying on the ground and allow God to restore you to active, trusting faith today?

Practical Application: If there is an area of your life where you have fallen and have not yet allowed God to restore you, take one concrete step today -- whether through prayer, confession, reaching out to a trusted believer, or returning to a spiritual discipline you have abandoned.
