Sermon: 8/2/26- Tuesday's Devotional

Hidden Sin Has Visible Consequences
Reading: Joshua 7:10-13; Galatians 6:7-8

Achan buried his stolen treasure beneath the floor of his tent, certain no one would find it. But concealment is not the same as consequence-free living. God told Joshua plainly that Israel's defeat was not a military failure but a spiritual one. What was hidden in one man's tent had unraveled the protection of an entire nation. The passage in Galatians reminds us that we reap what we sow, not always immediately, but inevitably. The things we bury in the dark do not stay quiet. God sees beneath every surface and loves us too much to leave hidden sin undisturbed.
Reflection Question: Is there something you have buried, convinced that it affects no one but yourself?
Practical Application: Spend time in honest prayer today, inviting the Holy Spirit to reveal anything hidden that needs to be brought into the light and confessed.
