Sermon: 9/13/26- Friday's Devotional

The Table of Mercy
Reading: Psalm 23

The sermon closed with a prayer drawn from the imagery of Psalm 23, and it is a fitting place to end this week. We walk through valleys. We do not camp in them. God leads us through darkness, not around it, and He does so with a rod and a staff that bring comfort even in the most disorienting terrain. The communion table, like the table prepared in the presence of enemies, is a declaration that God's grace and mercy are present even in the hardest moments. We are not abandoned. We are accompanied. And the One who walks with us through the valley is the same One who conquered death on our behalf.

Reflection: Where do you need to trust today that God is walking with you through the valley, not leaving you in it?
