Sermon: 9/6/26- Thursday's Devotional

When Victory Belongs to God
Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

God reduced Gideon's army to 300 men so that no one could claim the victory as their own. The principle at work is the same one Paul describes in today's reading: God's strength is made perfect in weakness. We live in a culture that celebrates self-sufficiency and personal achievement. But God consistently works in ways that make human boasting impossible. When the odds are impossibly stacked against us, when our resources are depleted and our strength is gone, we are in precisely the position where God tends to move most powerfully. Our weakness is not an obstacle to His work. It is often the very condition He requires.

Reflection: In what area of your life do you need to stop striving in your own strength and surrender the outcome to God?
