Sin Crouching at the Door
Reading: Genesis 4:6-7; James 1:13-15

God warned Cain: "Sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it." Like a predator waiting to pounce, sin doesn't usually ambush us—it waits for our choice. James reveals the progression: desire conceives, and then gives birth to sin, which in turn produces death. Cain's jealousy didn't immediately become murder; it was a seed he watered with resentment until it grew into something deadly. What "crouching tiger" has God already pointed out in your life? Perhaps it's bitterness, pride, lust, or greed. The key is recognizing that you see it. God has shown you the danger. The question is: will you keep your head down and continue grazing, or will you run? Today, identify one sin pattern and take concrete steps to flee from it.
