Sermon: 10/18/26- Thursday's Devotional

Watching for God to Answer
Reading: Habakkuk 2:1-4 — The prophet stations himself to watch and wait for what God will say, trusting that the answer will come even if it requires patience.

Prayer is not a one-way transmission. It is a conversation, which means it requires listening and watching for a response. Too often we bring our requests to God and then walk away without looking for how He might answer. His responses do not always arrive in the form we expect. Sometimes the answer is a settled peace. Sometimes it is a door that closes firmly. Sometimes it is a quiet sense of unrest that redirects us. Learning to recognize God's responses requires attentiveness — a posture of active, expectant waiting rather than passive resignation.

Reflection Question: Are you actively watching for how God may be answering your current prayers?

Practical Application: Keep a simple prayer journal this week. Write down what you have asked God, and note any responses — peace, open doors, closed doors, or a sense of redirection.
