Catalyst youth

Catalyst is a community Youth Group that meets weekly all year long.  
Each gathering includes food/snacks, games, and a message.

During the school year, Catalyst meets in two locations:
-Middle School meets at the Nazarene Church (corner of 9th & Columbia)
-High School meets at Chris & Jayci Field's house (486 High St.)

Once school is out, the two Catalyst groups combine and meet at Oasis Park for food and fun!

Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:00pm the Junior High (6-8th grade) meet at the Catalyst Youth center for games, fellowship, music, and study.  And don’t forget that the Joe in the John coffee shop is open for your favorite drink!  

Senior High students (9-12th grade) meet at Chris and Jayci’s home.

Did someone say Nerf War?  There is always time for nerf fun!  These events are scheduled at various times of the year and it is a fun few hours to be enjoyed by many!

During the Summer, Senior and Junior High (incoming 6-12th grade) meet together at Oasis Park for games, food and fellowship.  We do a variety of games, including marshmallow night, water games, slip and slide kickball, basketball, volleyball, cornhole tournaments, scavenger hunts, and various relay races.

After every Pomeroy Pirate home football game, Jr and Sr High students are invited to the Naz for movies, games, and snacks, until 10:30pm.

Each Spring, prior to District Assembly, the District Nazarene Youth International (NYI) meet up for their annual meeting called Breakthrough.  Delegates from churches across the Northwest District come together for an awesome and meaningful opportunity to grow deeper in the areas they care about most, but especially in their walk with God.  Professionals will be teaching the music/worship track, athletes/coaches will be facilitating the athletics track, and pastors and experts will be running the ministry track.

In the Summer, our Northwest District hosts a Summer Teen Camp at Riverview Bible Camp.  We always plan to take students to this!!  

We also have fun doing service projects, like selling ice cream cones, having BBQs at Oasis Park, Christmas caroling, trips to the mountains, and so much more.
