Each Sunday Morning from 11-11:45am we have small groups for 7th grade – 12th grade in the Catalyst Gathering Place. Small groups facilitated by Stephanie Yount. This short time is throughout the year and will help teens to learn Biblical truths to apply to their lives as they navigate the teenage years. AND there is usually a special treat, like donuts!!!!
Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:00 the Catalyst Youth center is open for games, fellowship, music, and study. And don’t forget that the Joe in the John coffee shop is open for your favorite drink! Senior High students ( 9-12th grade) meet at Chris and Jayci’s home and the Junior High students meet at the church. During the Summer, Senior and Junior High meet together at Oasis Park for games, food and fellowship. We do a variety of games, including marshmellow night, water games, slip and slide kickball, basketball, volleyball, cornhole tournaments, scavenger hunts, and various relay races.
Each Spring, prior to Celebrating Generations, the District Nazarene Youth International (NYI) meet up in Spokane or Richland for their annual meeting called Breakthrough. Delegates from churches across the Northwest District come together for Breakthrough, an awesome and meaningful opportunity to grow deeper in the areas they care about most, but especially in their walk with God. Professionals will be teaching the music/worship track, athletes/coaches will be facilitating the athletics track, and pastors and experts will be running the ministry track.
Every Fall, we take students to the Kibbie Dome in Moscow for Super 7. Its an all-nighter of various sport games, movies, swim, and lots of snacks. Its loads of fun to see the kids party all night!
In the Summer, our Northwest District hosts a Summer Teen Camp at Riverview Bible Camp, July 24-28, 2023. We are planning on taking students to this!! To register, go http://www.nwnyi.com and see Stephanie Yount about a camp scholarship. Its going to be a blast!!
